Apple Expected to Unveil Low-Cost 11th-Gen iPad Today

After unveiling its latest iPhone 15 series smartphones and smartwatches last month, Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has reportedly launched a new affordable 11th generation iPad on October 17, Tuesday (today). You can also expect the third-generation Apple Pencil with interchangeable magnetic tips for sketching, technical drawing and digital painting.

According to a liquor called Majin Buu, the new iPad will have the same design as the 10th generation model, and according to it the accessories will be fully compatible.

A leaker claimed last week that Apple would debut a third-generation Apple Pencil with a replaceable magnetic tip.

“Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said on Sunday that while new iPads are in development, no new models are expected this month, while reports from 9to5Mac and Supercharged News claimed that Apple plans to launch new iPad mini, iPad Air and ‌iPad‌ models as soon as Tuesday,” MacRumors reports.

However, Japanese website Mac Otakara reported that Apple will not be introducing new iPads, but will debut the new Apple Pencil 3 instead.

According to MacRumors, Majin Buu’s report on the upcoming 11th generation iPad does not include any information about the iPad Air or iPad Mini. Additionally, the report hints at the possibility of new compatible accessories, including a new Apple Pencil, as previously speculated by Mac Otakara.

Meanwhile, a new report from Morgan Stanley noted that Apple’s quarterly iPad revenue will decline significantly in the fourth quarter of 2023 from the comparison period.

“Apple reported iPad revenue of $7.2 billion in Q4 2023, down about 23 percent from the $9.4 billion Apple reported for the segment in Q4 2023,” the report states. In related news, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman recently claimed that the iPhone maker also plans to introduce at least four new MacBook models with M3-series chips in 2024. These new MacBook models are also expected to see minor design changes.
