Apple Vision Pro Headset May Receive an Affordable Version

The Apple Vision Pro headset boasts advanced technology and a realistic experience, but its high price tag of $3,500 (approximately Rs 2.8 lakh) makes it unaffordable for most consumers. As a result, it comes as no surprise that Apple plans to release a more affordable version of the headset.

According to Bloomberg, this budget handset could hit the market by the end of 2025, which is still a few years away. It’s likely that the cheaper version could be the vanilla Apple Vision, while the Pro moniker will remain with the premium avatar.

The pros’ strategy has worked well with the iPhone over the years, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Apple use the same tactic with its Mixed Reality headsets. The Vision headset can have the M1 or M1 Pro chipset, which compensates for the higher product cost. The materials of the headphones can also be different. But when you say a cheaper Apple product, it’s usually higher than market standards, so expect a price tag of around $1500 for the so-called cheaper Vision headphones, which is sure to be a big drop for Apple.

The Vision Pro headset has proven its capabilities and select media representatives were given a 30 minute demo to experience the device and see what it has to offer. Apple’s biggest launch under Tim Cook received mixed reviews, but most people were puzzled to see that none of Apple’s executives, including Cook, wore headphones in front of the world.

This could explain the reason for the release of Vision Pro until early next year, saying that Apple would like the ecosystem to be ripe for a public release and more apps that work under your eyes, literally. It is also certain that Vision Pro will focus on a limited market in its first phase.
