Asus ROG Phone 7 series launched in India: price, specifications

The Asus ROG Phone 7 series was launched in India and other countries on Thursday. The latest ROG gaming phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset, has a high refresh rate and promises an ideal gaming experience, not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of battery. The new ROG Phone 7 series gets vanilla and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate versions with identical specifications, except for some differentiation options.

Asus ROG Phone 7 Series India Price

The Asus ROG Phone 7 is priced at Rs 74,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant in India, while the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate will cost you Rs 99,999 with the AeroActive Cooler in the box. The phones will be available in India from May 2023 and the dates will be shared next month.

Asus ROG Phone 7 series specifications

ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate have the same 6.78-inch Super AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. The front gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of non-expandable storage. As with previous ROG phones, the two models feature an air trigger system, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and more.

The main difference between the ROG Phone 7 and the 7 Ultimate is the back cover with the illuminated ROG logo and the ROG PMOLED display. The ROG Phone 7 Series runs on the Android 13-based ROG user interface, and Asus promises 2 more operating system updates and 4 years of security updates for the devices.

The ROG Phone 7 series features a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and an 8-megapixel macro sensor. The phone has a 32-megapixel shooter on the front. Although the phone packs a 6000mAh battery that offers 65W charging speed, the ROG Phone 7 series weighs just 239 grams and is 10.3mm thick. Asus claims that the new ROG phones will get improved front-facing speakers, which is likely to give the gamer a boost.
