Xiaomi pushes the focus with the new Redmi Note 13 Pro model which has the priciest version competing with solid devices.News

Buyers get a glimpse of the shiny upgrade in Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus through a first look video.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 series was unveiled earlier this month in India, which also includes the Redmi Note 13 Pro models. The Redmi Note series began its journey as a value-for-money product, which Xiaomi says is still its focus, but with the Redmi Note priced at Rs 31,999 (without bank offers), the value quotient seems to have shifted a bit.

Despite this, the new Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus model gets premium features, a glossy design and a 3D curved AMOLED screen, which would not have been possible without the price increase.

So what else does the new Redmi Note 13 Pro model offer buyers and does it justify the company’s new approach with the Redmi Note series. Before we answer those questions (later), here’s a quick teardown and first look at the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus smartphone that’s now available with 512GB of storage in the market.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus gets a 120 Hz AMOLED display with a curved 3D panel. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. You get a 200-megapixel primary rear camera and 8-megapixel and 2-megapixel ultra-wide and macro sensors. Xiaomi is still running MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. It has a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W charging, IP68 rating is also there and yes, NFC support.
