Carl Pei Refutes Alleged Phone (2) Design Rumors

The upcoming release of the Nothing Phone (2) in July has generated excitement among consumers who are curious about its appearance and potential variations in design from the Glyph interface. Despite a few leaked details, it appears that the phone’s design will remain largely unchanged, resembling its predecessor, the Phone (1), which was released last year.

But now, Carl Pei, the founder, Nothing has spoiled the leaks that suggest a completely new design of the phone (2). He recently shared a meme on social media with the message “Wait and see.” Nothing much depends on the design of its phones and yes, the software experience. So it’s crucial that the phone (2) doesn’t look like its predecessor.

Carl has generally played the hype card quite well since OnePlus’s first days on the market. Now, with his own company, Nothing, he’s used social media to tease new features or even get people excited just to announce a date for his next product teaser.

The Phone (2) will be released on July 11 and the company will bring a new phone to the US market this year. There’s no telling the phone (2) is a premium offering, powered by the one-generation-old Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is a big upgrade over the Snapdragon 778G used in the phone (1).

Carl claims that using this chipset will help keep costs down, and considering that these chipsets sell phones under Rs 40,000 these days, the price of the phone (2) will be around Rs 45,000 or maybe less. The phone is expected to get improved cameras, and the 4700mAh battery should support faster charging speeds. You’ll find out more about the new Nothing Phone in the coming weeks, and it’ll be ready in mid-July, and we’ll bring you all the updates.
