Catch Panic’s Debut Games Showcase at 1PM Eastern Time

Panic, the unconventional game publisher, is set to launch its inaugural digital games showcase. Known as the Panic Games Showcase, the event will be available for streaming on Panic’s YouTube channel from 1PM ET today. Alternatively, you can stay tuned here to witness all the excitement.

The showcase includes a 20-minute video presentation of Panic’s game release schedule, which includes new skins for previously announced games Nour: Play With Your Food and Despelote. During the event, you can also expect to hear about new unannounced games as well as new game development partnerships. Although there is no more detailed information about the upcoming games, we do know that Playdate is not mentioned. It is likely that the games covered in this event will be for PC or more popular game consoles such as PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

With this event, Panic hopes to gain more recognition as a full-fledged game publisher by showcasing upcoming games. Despite its smaller size, Panic is known for unconventional yet interesting games that really captivate players. Untitled Goose Game is one example of that, as is almost everything released for Panic’s Playdate hardware.

In a press release, co-founder Cabel Sasser expressed his excitement about the Panic Games Showcase event. He also hinted at a wide variety of games, saying that viewers will be excited about at least one new game that piqued their interest.

“A lot of people know us as the makers of Mac software like Transmit and Nova. And some people know us as the creators of the Playdate handheld video game system. And frankly, not many people know us as the publisher of Firewatch and other releases. ‘Untitled Goose Game,'” Sasser said. “We thought it would be fun to put on a little show and tell the world about the amazing games we’ve been working on releasing from amazing developers around the world.”
