Apple to Unveil iPhone 15 on September 12th

Are you tired of constantly advising your friends and family against purchasing an iPhone 14 at the moment? Well, here’s some positive information: Apple has officially announced the date for its annual September event. During this event, we can expect to receive comprehensive details about the iPhone 15 series, along with updates on other Apple devices. To ensure you don’t miss out, mark your calendars for September 12th at 1PM ET and remember to tune in to ReturnByte for the livestream.

Almost immediately after the end of last year’s event, rumors about Apple’s iPhone 15 range began to circulate. All models (except perhaps the new SE) could ditch the notch and start using the Dynamic Island cutout that debuted on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. You may need to choose the iPhone 15 Pro if you want WiFi 6E over WiFi 6. The 15 Pro and Pro Max are also reported to have slimmer bezels and a titanium body, but we may have to wait until next year to see the rumored iPhone Ultra.

Most intriguing of all, Apple may finally be starting to ditch the Lightning port on the iPhone 15 lineup and make the long-awaited move to USB-C. The company doesn’t have much choice there, as all tablets and smartphones sold in the European Union will have to use this charging port starting next year. It’s simpler for Apple to use the same connector for all new devices instead of trying to grab the Lightning port in other markets.

Either way, we won’t have to wait long to find out everything about this year’s new iPhones. It is likely that we will also learn about the future of the Apple Watch. And there’s always the possibility that Apple has a “one thing” surprise up its sleeve as well. As always, we’ll have full coverage of this year’s fall iPhone event as it happens.
