‘Dead by Daylight’ to Feature ‘Alien’ Character

Behaviour Interactive has unveiled the latest addition to Dead by Daylight, and it’s a Killer that will surely strike fear into the hearts of horror enthusiasts: the Xenomorph. The game developer has now shared all the specifics of its exciting collaboration with the Alien franchise, which was initially teased with a sneak peek of the Nostromo Wreckage Map. This announcement not only confirms the Xenomorph’s role as the game’s newest Killer but also introduces Ellen Ripley as a Survivor.

This version introduces seven control stations, a new map feature that allows survivors to obtain a Remote Flame Turret (another expansion) that they can use to stagger the Xenomorph – although the killer can destroy the tool. It can also stop the Xenomorph’s unique power known as Runner Mode, which allows it to walk on four legs and reduce the terror beam.

The monitoring stations are located on top of the tunnels through which the Xenomorph can enter and exit. “Creating the Xenomorph’s Tunnel system was very challenging because we had never created a sublevel that was only accessible to the Killer. This new mechanic gives it Map-wide mobility and definitely amps up the scare factor – which feels very connected to the original character,” said Janick Neveu. , game designer for Dead by Daylight.

You won’t have to wait long to wander through the Nostromo Wreckage in complete terror (the perfect night game, right?) as Dead by Daylight: Alien is available on all platforms starting August 29th. Impatient? You can already download the game’s Public Test Build and try it out early.
