Expected Price & Specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Revealed – Could Cost Around Rs 1,39,000

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, is preparing to release its highly anticipated flagship foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, in the coming month. A recent leak has revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is projected to cost $1,699 (approximately Rs 1,39,463.26) prior to its launch.

According to Gizmochina, the Z Fold 5’s expected price of $1,699 is $100 less than the Z Fold 4’s launch price. Based on the specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is likely to feature a 7.6-inch QHD+ AMOLED primary display and a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED cover display, both displays supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of optics, the company is likely to add a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens to the triple camera on the back.

The foldable Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone is said to have a 12-megapixel front camera. In terms of color options, the Z Fold 5 smartphone is likely to be available in three colors – Cream, Diamond and Phantom Black – and three online exclusive colors – Blue, Coral and Platinum.

It was also rumored that the company was updating the hinge of the Z Fold 5 smartphone, which is expected to last 2,00,000 folds.

Samsung confirmed earlier this month that its Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in late July this year. Usually during its mid-year Galaxy Unpacked events, the South Korean brand launches its latest and greatest foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip clamshells.

This year, the South Korean tech giant is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones. In addition, the brand may also launch the next generation Galaxy Watch, including the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and the vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 as well as the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.

Samsung has confirmed that this year’s Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in Seoul, South Korea, marking the first time the event will be held in Samsung’s home country.
