Google Searches for Mixed Reality Skyrocket Following Apple’s Vision Pro Launch

According to a report on Monday, the global online searches for Mixed Reality (MR) surged by 1,130% on Google after the recent launch of Apple’s MR headset Vision Pro.

An analysis of Google search data revealed that online interest in VR increased by 300 percent on June 5 when Apple unveiled its new $3,499 MR headset at the Worldwide Developers Conference in California, US, Digital-adoption.com reports.

Searches for “VR,” “mixed reality,” and “augmented reality” increased by 300 percent, 1,130 percent, and 545 percent, respectively, after Apple announced the Vision Pro headset.

“Interest in artificial intelligence has grown tremendously this year. Apple’s announcement of Vision Pro has captured audiences at the right time, when new artificial intelligence technologies such as ChatGPT have become available to almost everyone,” commented a spokesperson for Digital-adoption.com.

Apple’s announcement comes as online interest in artificial intelligence, or artificial intelligence, is at an all-time high.

Google Trends data revealed a 619 percent increase in “AI” searches since 2004.

This year has been a breakthrough year for artificial intelligence, as the number of searches has more than doubled from 17 million in January to 42 million in May.

This is due in part to the rapid growth and adoption of accessible technologies such as ChatGPT and Google Bard, according to the report.

The new technology is described as a step in the “spatial computing era” where “digital content merges seamlessly with physical space.”

Apple’s announcement has also caused a spike in users searching for “Buy Apple stock,” which rose 1,482 percent globally over the past seven days, according to the report.

With two ultra-high-resolution screens, the Apple Vision Pro can turn any space into a personal movie theater with a 100-foot-wide screen and an advanced Spatial Audio system, according to the company.

Apple Vision Pro also features EyeSight, which helps users stay in touch with loved ones.

When a person approaches a person wearing Vision Pro, the device feels transparent – allowing the wearer to see them while also showing the wearer’s eyes.
