Leaked Images Show Off Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Design and Features Before Launch

Samsung has announced that its official Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in India on July 26. During the event, the renowned South Korean tech company is anticipated to introduce the new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 foldable phones, along with new Galaxy Watches and earbuds. Prior to the launch, leaked images have surfaced, seemingly showcasing the official renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Evan Blass, a well-known tipster and leaker, shared leaked renders that suggest the Galaxy Z Flip 5 could feature a larger external display, as previous reports had also suggested. The leaked images show the phone in three colors: light green, black and a shade that’s either pink or cream, but we can’t show the renders right now for legal reasons, but the leaked renders of Bless have been removed for copyright reasons. offense, and this lends weight to the official nature of shared renderings.

According to previous reports, the outer display could be 3.4 inches and have a cutout on the side for the dual camera, which would make it slightly smaller than the 3.6-inch outer display of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra, another recently released flip phone. The internal, foldable screen is expected to be a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate – similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

In terms of optics, the phone is expected to feature a dual-camera setup consisting of a wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. And for selfies, the camera would be placed inside the punch-hole of the main screen.

The Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are also rumored to feature a new “waterdrop” hinge mechanism that could help Samsung reduce creasing. Also, it is highly likely that Samsung will use the top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, in its fifth-generation foldable lineup.

Samsung is also expected to launch its next-generation Galaxy Watch — including the Galaxy Watch 6 Pro and the vanilla Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 26.
