Libby App Allows Free Access to Magazines with Library Card

Having a library card in your wallet is incredibly beneficial, as it grants you access to a wide range of resources. Libby, an app supported by the majority of public libraries in North America, allows you to enjoy free ebooks and audiobooks with your library card. Additionally, Libby offers the opportunity to read various magazines at no cost. Exciting updates are expected next month, which will enhance the app’s functionality and make it even simpler to access popular publications like The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Bon Appetit, and Wired without any charges.

Libby says magazine access has been streamlined, which seems to make it easier to subscribe and get notified when a new issue comes out. Discovery improves, while you can start reading with a single tap.

The company states that the app includes access to more than 4,000 magazines with issues from up to three years ago. Unlike audiobooks, e-books, and other Libby offerings, magazines have no circulation limit and no limit to how many users can read them at once, so there’s no waiting—unless you still need to register at your local library first.
