AI to be Utilized by Circle for Enhanced Search Capabilities

Google search has undoubtedly become more seamless since the introduction of the Circle To Search feature. This AI-powered tool is available exclusively on the Samsung S24 series (S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra) and Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones. This feature allows users to draw a circle around an image or text displayed in any app that supports screen capture.

When the desired part is selected with the S-Pen or your finger, it will automatically take you to the Google results page, which will display the details of the item or text. Thanks to Circle To Search, you can now do a Google search on any POI in images or text without leaving the app or typing in the quarry.

You just need to keep Mobile Data on to use the Circle To Search feature.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to setting up and using Circle To Search on your device:

  1. Long press the home screen button or long press the gesture navigation bar to get a prompt from the Circle to Search app.
  2. The next window contains a tutorial on how to use this feature.
  3. Click the “Try Now” option to activate the tool.
  4. Go to any app and draw a circle around any image or text to search for it on Google. If an error occurs when selecting the desired area, you can adjust the circle later.
  5. When a part of the image or text is selected, a Google results page will appear.
  6. You can zoom in on the subject using a two-finger pinch motion. The quarry can also be filtered by adding phrases to the search field. You can use the Back button by swiping down from the top of the search window or tapping the X button in the upper left corner to go back to the previous app.

Users are advised not to use the Circle To Search feature in banking or other sensitive applications for security reasons. You can also go back to your search history and delete previous mines by tapping the three-dot menu in the upper right corner of the Circle to Search page.
