Apple is considering pushing back the launch of the 2024 iPad Pro and iPad Air to May.

According to a recent report, Apple is expected to release new models of the iPad Pro and iPad Air in late March or early April. However, a recent update indicates that the launch may be delayed until May, as reported by 91mobiles. Let’s take a closer look at what to expect from the upcoming Apple iPads.

New iPad Pro, iPad Air Launch Timeline and more

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple plans to announce the latest iPad Pro and iPad Air models in early May, although the exact release date is not yet known. The upcoming iPad Pro lineup is expected to include OLED display technology, a revamped Magic Keyboard, and new M3 chips. Meanwhile, the iPad Air is expected to offer both a standard 10.9-inch size and a larger 12.9-inch size.

Gurman also notes that Apple’s suppliers are ramping up production of new iPads. The technology giant, which was initially aiming for a release in March or early April, is now prioritizing the completion of software for new devices. In addition, the report mentions that the complex production processes of the OLED iPad Pro models are contributing to the delay.

According to recent insights, the switch to OLED displays instead of the current mini-LED panels could lead to a sleeker design for the iPad Pro models. In addition, future iPad Pro models are rumored to have a horizontal Face ID camera.
