Apple Increases Prices of TV+ and Arcade Subscriptions Ahead of ‘Scary Fast’ Event: Here’s What You Need to Know

Days before its “Scary Fast” event, where it is expected to unveil new Macs, Apple has raised subscription prices for its various subscription services, including Apple TV+, Apple Arcade and Apple News+, in the US and other regions.

Starting with Apple TV+, the video streaming service now costs $9.99, down from $6.99 per month. Notably, Apple TV+ also received a price increase in 2022, going from $4.99 to $6.99.

Apple Arcade, on the other hand, has received a price increase for the first time ever. It now costs $6.99, down from $4.99 per month. Additionally, Apple News+ is now $12.99, down from $9.99.

If you’re going to buy an annual plan for Apple TV+, you’ll have to pay $99, down from $69. Consequently, the Apple One service, which bundles various services, has also experienced a price increase. It’s now $19.95, down from $16.95, and a bundle in the same family that includes 50GB of iCloud data, Apple TV+, Apple Music, and Arcade is now $25.95.

In particular, the price of Apple Music has not changed and is still $10.99 per month. And as far as the Indian market is concerned, no visible price jump has been observed as of this writing, and the services are available without any price increase, at least for now.

These price updates come just before Apple’s “Scary Fast” event on October 31st, where the tech giant is expected to unveil a new M3-powered iMac and new MacBooks as well. It remains to be seen whether the M3 collection will materialize this year. Having said that, industry analysts including Mark Gurman have indicated that the M3 is finally coming to fruition.
