August PlayStation Plus Lineup Includes Death’s Door and Dreams

Sony has unveiled the lineup of monthly games for PlayStation Plus in August. While there isn’t a standout title, three impressive games are set to be released, including the captivating Zelda-inspired journey Death’s Door and a lesser-known golf simulation called PGA Tour 2K23. Additionally, Media Molecule’s enduring game creation platform Dreams is also included in the lineup.

Dreams is a community-driven app based on the level creation tools that first debuted in the LittleBigPlanet series. Gamers have used the system to make almost anything you can imagine, from VR experiences to full-on CGI movies. Sony even allowed some of the more popular creators to sell their works.

Unfortunately, Sony is discontinuing Dreams, as the company recently announced that it will stop releasing updates later this year. However, the PS Plus release will give users one last hurray, especially considering the last game on this month’s release list is another Media Molecule title. Tren is a train-based adventure game that was built entirely on Dreams and is only available in-game. Sony calls it “a nostalgic adventure that puts you in the driver’s seat of a remarkable toy train and tells a personal story about growing up – and the transformative power of play.”

These games will all be available on August 1st, and you have until the last day of July to collect expiring games like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling – Extinction is Forever.
