ChatGPT Plus Receives Major Upgrade – Now Upload PDFs and Access Tools Without Changing Platforms

If you are a ChatGPT Plus subscriber, you can expect a range of exciting upgrades that will enhance your experience. The popularity of ChatGPT has skyrocketed throughout 2023, since its impressive debut in November 2022 as an AI chatbot capable of generating content effortlessly. In response to the emergence of competing chatbots from companies like Google and Microsoft, OpenAI has taken steps to innovate and solidify its position in the AI chatbot competition.

The new ChatGPT Plus update brings two big features that can improve the user experience, making the AI chatbot more useful than ever. Let’s take a closer look.

ChatGPT Plus update

According to a report by The Verge, several ChatGPT Plus users took to X revealing new changes that have been implemented on the platform. For the uninitiated, ChatGPT Plus is an optional subscription to the platform that unlocks access to the more advanced GPT-4 model. In addition, it also unlocks additional features such as Code Interpreter and ChatGPT Plugins.

With this update, one of the most important features is the ability to download PDF files and other file formats. Users can now upload PDF files, documents, data files and more that ChatGPT can analyze to answer all your questions. It can also extract and visualize these files.

Another change that will be introduced in ChatGPT Plus is automatic switching. When using an AI chatbot, users do not need to manually switch tools between browsing, Advanced Data Analytics, Code Interpreter and DALL.E. Instead, ChatGPT automatically changes them for you. The option to change tools manually is still there.

Both features already exist in the ChatGPT Enterprise plan released in August. However, OpenAI will also add them to the standalone ChatGPT Plus subscription with this update. For the uninitiated, ChatGPT Enterprise offers enterprise-grade privacy, security and deployment tools. This means that the AI model used by OpenAI’s enterprise customers does not train on enterprise data or conversations, and the models do not learn from the use of the enterprise environment.
