Elon Musk Criticizes Mark Zuckerberg, Asks “What’s the Opposite of an Escape Artist?”
Elon Musk has labeled Mark Zuckerberg an “escape artist” after the Meta CEO surprisingly declared his decision to end their ongoing feud, which had been a major topic of interest in the tech industry.
After a heated exchange of words, well-known figures in the field of technology Zuckerberg and Elon Musk had considered settling the competition with an unconventional means – a cage fight. However, the expected showdown took a new turn when Zuckerberg decided to drop out of the fight.
Zuckerberg had expressed his disappointment that Musk did not confirm a date for their multi-billion dollar showdown. Zuckerberg also felt that he and Musk had different views on how to approach the proposed fight.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Musk wrote: “I am the opposite of any escape artist.”
This all started when Zuckerberg announced in his message that he has withdrawn from the fight. In a post on Threads, he said he plans to “focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”
“I think we can all agree that Elon is not serious and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legitimate match for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, but says he needs surgery, and is now asking instead to practice in my backyard,” he said in the message.
He wrote that Musk never showed interest in a real MMA match. Musk also appropriately responded, “Zuck is a chicken.”
According to Variety , a series of back-and-forth messages between the CEOs of Meta and X/Twitter first sparked talk of an MMA-style cage match. “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” Musk wrote in response to a June 20 thread on Twitter. This statement started a debate.
Musk recently announced on his social media accounts that the “Zuck v Musk battle” will be broadcast live via X, with all proceeds going to charity.
Zuckerberg fired back at Musk and takes a subtle dig at X/Twitter when he wrote in Threads: “Shouldn’t we be using a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
