Experience YouTube in HD: 1080p Resolution Now Available!

YouTube has recently launched its latest Premium features, aiming to improve the user’s viewing experience. The highly anticipated 1080p resolution option with an enhanced bitrate is now accessible on Android and TVs. The company announced this update on Wednesday, mentioning that the improved video quality was first introduced on iOS earlier this year and later expanded to the web in August. YouTube stated that the enhanced resolution is automatically activated based on the user’s connection and viewing preferences, or it can be easily accessed from the quality menu.

Improved video quality on all devices

Extends its user-friendly features YouTube Premium’s “Keep Watching” reminder, which launched on phones and the web, now extends its reach to tablets and smart TVs. This feature allows users to seamlessly resume content, especially longer videos, while maintaining playback position. YouTube envisions a scenario where users can start watching their favorite podcasts in the morning on the subway, go online on a laptop during a work break, and end the day watching a smart TV at home.

Conversational AI

In a recent update, YouTube is experimenting with “Conversational AI” and introducing an “Ask” button below videos. This feature is now coming to youtube.com/new, with limited spots available for quick registration, especially for users of the US English Android app. Using language model technology, YouTube aims to answer questions, suggest related content, and improve the overall user experience without interrupting playback. In addition, the “Artificial Intelligence Summary Topics” trial is also available.

US users who want additional benefits can access third-party YouTube Premium benefits through the You tab by scrolling down to Your Premium Benefits. These include an in-game loot pack for Genshin Impact, a 3-month trial of Discord Nitro, a 3-month trial of Walmart+ membership, a 4-month trial of Calm Premium, and the soon-to-be-released 3-month trial of PC Game Pass. The site also has Premium badges for users aged 18 and above to showcase their achievements on the platform.

These new features complement existing features of YouTube Premium, such as ad-free viewing, offline downloads and background playback. Recent additions such as queuing and Meet Live Sharing are intended to provide users with a comprehensive and enjoyable viewing experience. In the future, YouTube promises more exciting features and exclusive benefits that invite users to dive even deeper into the content they love.
