Google Pixel Fold launch is more or less confirmed with these leaked images

Google is expecting a busy May, with several announcements expected at the Google I/O 2023 keynote, which starts on May 10. The company is likely to announce a new Pixel 7a smartphone, and now it looks like Google’s first foldable device will also be part of the lineup next week.

The Google Pixel Fold has been leaked in all its glory thanks to the ever-reliable tipper Evan Blass. It’s clear from the images that Google is trying to offer the best features it can offer without going overboard with the price of the product.

The design look is borrowed from the Pixel 7 series, and there’s nothing wrong with that. There are many interesting things about the Pixel Fold that the leaked images show, but the only concern is the large bezels covering the screen, which are not completely in sync with the trends of 2023.

The camera module includes a bar where you get three camera sensors, the exact details of which we don’t know yet. The design profile of the Pixel Fold is similar to that of the Oppo Find N2 instead of the tall Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, which means that the foldable Pixel’s ergonomics have been tuned for a comfortable grip.

The external display looks quite adequate and the front camera is built into the punch hole. And as soon as you open the Pixel Fold, at least from the pictures, you see the large bezels covering the screen. Despite this, we don’t see any wrinkles on the screen, which is a good sign. Google has been working with Android to make it compatible with foldable devices, and we hope that the first foldable Pixel phone will be optimized with a working version of Android.

Reports suggest a price tag of $1,300 (roughly Rs. 1,04,000) for the Pixel Fold. That’s why it’s so important that Google does better with its first generation foldable model than Samsung and other brands could manage.
