Report Predicts iPhone 15 to Outsell iPhone 14 by a Large Margin

Apple can expect good news as the highly anticipated iPhone 15 is scheduled to release in the Fall season. A report suggests that the demand for iPhone 15 is expected to exceed that of iPhone 14, based on panel production figures. Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) reported that panel orders for the iPhone 15 series in June indicate a robust demand for the 2023 iPhone Pro models.

The iPhone 15 series, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, is set to be released later this year as the successor to the iPhone 14 series. Although Apple has not officially announced its next-generation mobile phones, DSCC’s analysis suggests that the iPhone 15 series could have significant demand.

Compared to iPhone 14 panel orders for the same period in 2022, DSCC estimates that iPhone 15 panel orders in June have increased by a whopping 100 percent (via 9to5Mac. Additionally, DSCC found that iPhone 15 Pro has a higher percentage). screens were ordered in June compared to the previous year’s iPhone 14 Pro series. It says that Apple expects strong demand for the iPhone 15 Pro collection. Last year, demand for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max was higher than usual for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus models.

However, DSCC’s iPhone 14 series panel deliveries have decreased by 22 percent compared to iPhone 13 series panel deliveries from the previous year.

While Apple has yet to officially reveal details about the iPhone 15 lineup, leaked information and images have provided some insights. Recent leaks suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro may feature a new mute button that replaces the traditional mute switch, as well as an updated ultra-wideband chip that improves integration with the Apple Vision Pro headset.
