Strategies for Erasing Your Information from Google

US tech giant Google recently launched a new ‘Delete this result’ feature in beta. This feature serves as a valuable tool in removing some personal information from your Google search results.

However, it is important to understand that this function does not delete data from the entire Internet or the specific website from which it originated.

According to CNBC, the information is still available, but it won’t appear under your name in search results, making it more challenging to locate people.

Now users can remove their phone number, email address and home address from Google search results. If you want to remove your personal information from the search results, you can do it as follows.

Open a web browser and go to myactivity.google.com/results-about-you. then select “Results to check”. Now click “Start” and then press “Next” twice. Next, you need to add your personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, and email address. You can add more than one entry for each.

It is important to double-check the information you have provided. Google offers you three ways to receive notifications, and they are email, push notifications, or both.

Now you need to choose how you want Google to notify you. Later, you’ll see a pop-up window that says “We’re looking into it.”

Next, you need to wait for notifications from Google. When you receive an alert, you can decide whether you want Google to remove that information from search results or leave it there. If you made mistakes while entering information, you can return to the “Results about you” page to make corrections.

Users can track the request by going to the “Data & privacy” settings of their Google account. Scroll down and press “My events”. Then press the three dots in the search bar and select “Other activity”. Press “Manage Results About You” to see your status.
