Telegram Introduces 9 New Features Specifically for Group Users
Telegram on Friday announced new updates to group messaging with nine innovative features. New features include Boosts for Groups, Stories from Groups, Emoji Status, Covers, Wallpapers and Link Styles, Group Emoji Packs, Voice-to-Text and more.
The Boosts for Groups feature allows groups to level up with membership increases or donations. Higher group tiers offer a host of premium features, including voice-to-text transcription and custom emoji packs that enrich the group chat experience, the company said.
The Group Stories feature allows group administrators to share stories and initiate interactive conversations among members.
In addition, Telegram introduced Group Emoji Packs, which allow upper-level groups to select custom sets of emojis for all members to use in chat, improving communication and promoting identity.
For members of enhanced groups, Voice-to-Text Transcription ensures seamless communication by providing unlimited transcription of voice and video messages exchanged within the group, according to the company.
In addition, the company said that admins now have the option to grant special privileges to Boosters, allowing boosters in a boosted group to enjoy unique privileges, such as bypassing slow mode or other restrictions. In addition, enabling Telegram Premium provides users with exclusive additional benefits that can be shared to any group or channel, and additional boosts are granted for donating Premium.
