The tablet was first revealed in select European markets in August 2023 and will soon be available to Indian consumers. Xiaomi recently announced their Smarter Living 2024 event scheduled for the same day, hinting at the launch of four new products, including the speculated Redmi Pad SE. An official teaser from the company has confirmed this speculation, providing details on the tablet’s design, color choices, and unique features designed specifically for the Indian market.

Xiaomi India announced the upcoming arrival of Redmi Pad SE for X on April 23rd. The announcement message also directs users to Xiaomi’s microsite, which showcases the Indian version of the tablet and reveals some of its standout features. Based on the announced details, it seems that the Indian variant of the Redmi Pad SE closely resembles its global counterpart.

Redmi Pad SE Expected specifications and design

The Redmi Pad SE will be launched in India in three colors: Green, Gray and Lavender, mirroring its availability in other markets. The design of the Indian variant remains in line with its European counterpart as it sports an 11-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.

Under the hood, the Indian variant of the Redmi Pad SE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, which promises up to 14 hours of battery life for video playback and up to 219 hours of music playback. It also has an impressive standby battery that lasts up to 43 days. In addition, the tablet is teased to support multitasking with features such as split screen and floating windows.

As for the pricing, the details of the Indian variant of the Redmi Pad SE are yet to be revealed. However, the price of the tablet started at €199 (roughly Rs. 18,000) for the 4GB + 128GB variant in select European markets, and the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB variants were priced at €229 (roughly Rs. 20,800). and 249 Euros (Rs. 22,600 approx.).
