Alienware Unveils Redesigned Aurora R16 Desktop

If you’ve been searching for a new gaming computer without success, now is the perfect opportunity. Alienware has just unveiled the Aurora R16 desktop, an upgraded model of their top-of-the-line computer. Despite being released less than a year after the Aurora R15, the Aurora R16 boasts a distinct design and a range of new features compared to its predecessor.

At one glance, you’ll notice that the line’s former triangular shape is gone in favor of the rectangular Legend 3 design Alienware released with the gaming laptops earlier this year. Still, the Aurora 16 is 40 percent smaller than its predecessor, while maintaining the internal volume and thus upgradeability. It also introduces the Alienware Command Center for desktops.

Additional features of Alienware’s Aurora R16 desktop include 20 percent lower acoustics, seven percent lower temperature and up to ten percent lower processor than the Aurora R15. It also brings larger air intake and exhaust openings with a 54.5 percent larger opening ratio. In addition, the Aurora R16 has two M.2 PCIe slots that provide up to 8 TB of storage and support Wi-Fi 6E and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet. Alienware’s Aurora R16 desktop is now available for $1,750. It offers the RTX 4070 or RTX 4070 Ti in the US and Canada, while the European and Asian markets also have the RTX 3050 and RTX 4080.
