At the WWDC 2023 event, Apple, headquartered in Cupertino, unveiled a new MacBook Air laptop featuring a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an M2 chip, a six-speaker sound system, and up to 18 hours of battery life, among other features.

The 15-inch MacBook Air with the M2 chip is available in Midnight, Starlight, Silver and Space Gray colors and is priced at Rs 1,34,900 in India and Rs 1,24,900 for Education. The MacBook Air with M2 is available to order and will arrive for customers at Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Resellers starting June 13.

The new MacBook Air features a spacious, high-resolution 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display with up to 500 nits of brightness and support for a billion colors. It’s also double the resolution and 25 percent brighter than any comparable laptop. The new MacBook Air is only 11.5 mm thick. It weighs only 3.3 kilograms.

MacBook Air also features MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories, an external display up to 6K resolution, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting.

Thanks to the M2 chip, the 15-inch MacBook Air is up to 12 times faster than the fastest Intel-based MacBook Air. The new MacBook Air offers up to 18 hours of battery life. It has a powerful 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores, a 10-core GPU for ultra-fast graphics and a 16-core Neural Engine. The M2 chip also offers up to 100 GB/s of memory bandwidth and supports up to 24 GB of fast non-volatile memory.

The 15-inch MacBook Air features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera for FaceTime calls and video conferencing. The new 15-inch MacBook Air design also features a new six-speaker sound system with two tweeters and two forced tweeters. The new speakers produce twice the bass depth for fuller and more spacious sound with Dolby Atmos support.
