Check Out the Full List of New Emojis Coming to iPhones and Android, Including Head Shake and Phoenix

The demand for emojis seems insatiable, as people are constantly seeking new and more expressive ways to communicate through text messages and social media. Google recently introduced Emoji Kitchen, a feature that combines two emojis to create a unique one, in an effort to meet this demand. However, the Unicode Consortium has now approved Emoji 15.1, which includes a whopping 118 new emojis, ensuring that all users, regardless of their device, will soon have access to these fresh additions.

These new emojis include six completely new concepts as well as more customization options for other existing emoji sets. The new emojis include some highly requested ones, including the Phoenix emoji, the horizontal head shaking emoji and its corresponding vertical head shaking emoji, the broken emoji, and more.

Emojipedia blogged about the new emojis, saying, “These 118 new emojis introduced in Emoji 15.1 include six all-new concepts, four new gender-neutral family emoji combos, and 108 new trendsetting versions of the six existing human emojis.”

These emojis are expected to arrive on smartphones and other digital devices early next year. However, it may take longer for Microsoft and Apple, who have historically been known to take months to build support for new emoji into their software.
