Find out how to apply online for PhD entrance exams at DU, JNU, BHU, and BBAU

The schedule for the PhD entrance test for the year 2023 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This examination is intended for individuals aspiring to pursue a PhD at Delhi University (DU), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU).

Important dates

Application correction window: You can make corrections to your application from September 23.

Last patch date: The patch window closes on September 24, 2023. After this date, you cannot make any changes.

Exam dates: Doctoral entrance exams will be held on 26, 27, 30 and 31 October 2023.

How to apply online

You can apply for these exams by visiting the official website phd-entrance.samarth.ac.in. There you can find a schedule of exam dates for different subjects.

NTA has made it clear in the official notification that these exams will be computer based and will be held at different centers across India. They have also mentioned that this is a one-time opportunity for applicants to correct their application. Therefore, candidates should be very careful while making corrections as there will be no chance to correct mistakes later.

The repair window opens on 23 September 2023 and closes on 24 September 2023. After this date, repairs are not permitted under any circumstances. If additional charges are required for corrections, candidates can pay them through credit/debit card, net banking or UPI.

Candidates can change their name, father’s name, mother’s name, photograph, signature, graduation and graduation details, date of birth, gender, category and sub-category. You can also change your test city within the limits of your current and permanent address.

You can modify the subject/exam you applied for and the university, program or course you chose during the correction period.

NTA has also mentioned that if there are any changes in the fee due to repairs, the candidates will have to pay an additional fee. These changes only come into effect after the additional fee has been paid.
