Oppo Reno 10 Pro+: Is It Worth the Price Tag of Rs 54,999?

Chinese smartphone brand Oppo recently launched two new Reno series smartphones in India – Reno 10 Pro+ and Reno 10 Pro. Both devices have good camera data and an interesting design. I spent over a week exploring the Reno 10 Pro+ and here is my in-depth review.

SEE OPPO RENO 10 PRO+ REVIEW HERE:

The Reno 10 Pro+ is available in India at a starting price of Rs 54,999. Inside the box is a transparent case as well as documentation and a SIM card removal tool. In addition, an 80 W SuperVOOC charging adapter and a USB Type-A to Type-C cable are included.

Moving on to the design, the smartphone is available in two colors – Glossy Purple and Silver Grey. I have the Glossy Purple version and as the name suggests, the device has a glossy finish which looks beautiful. Despite the glass back, the Reno 10 Pro+ 5G is quite light and thin.

However, the device can be a little slippery, so it must be handled with care. The phone has a USB Type-C port, a speaker grill and a dual SIM tray at the bottom. On the right side you will find the power and volume keys. The back of the smartphone also has a pill-like camera module with a triple camera. Overall, I’m impressed with the design and build quality of the Reno 10 Pro+.

The Reno 10 Pro+ offers an impressive visual experience with a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display shows vivid colors, and the perforation on the top edge improves the viewing and gaming experience.

In terms of cameras, the Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ is equipped with three rear cameras, including a 64-megapixel primary telephoto lens, a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. It has a 32-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies. Now let’s discuss its operation. In daylight, the main camera captures impressive details with accurate skin tones and natural colors. It is also excellent for taking sharp and clear close-up photos. The main highlight of the phone is its 64-megapixel telephoto lens, which is capable of producing clear images with good colors.

In good lighting, sharpness, exposure and dynamic range are excellent. The device works well both indoors and outdoors. The device also impresses with its monochrome mode. The front camera has worked well even in bright lighting, but it lacked sharpness in low light.

The smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and runs on ColorOS 13.1, which is built on top of Android 13. ColorOS 13.1 guarantees a seamless user experience and a user-friendly interface. The phone works well and does not slow down during multitasking. It handles multiple applications smoothly. Gaming is decent at low and medium graphics settings, but it heats up during heavy usage and intense gaming. Switching between apps and using multiple social media apps is seamless without any issues.

The smartphone is packed with a large 4700mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging support. When the smartphone is fully charged, it lasts almost a day in normal use. The download speed of the 10 Pro+ has also been improved. Overall, the performance of the Reno phone is attractive.

Verdict: The Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ is impressive with its design, AMOLED display and camera performance. It offers smooth multitasking and good battery life with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. However, it can get hot during intense gaming. Overall, it is a decent choice at Rs 54,999 in India.
