Photo-editing App from Capture One Now Available on iPhone

The photography app, Capture One, is now available on the iPhone, allowing photographers to connect their camera to the app and take pictures directly. The app is compatible with over 500 camera models, such as Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm, Leica, and Sigma, according to the company.

The app can edit images automatically when the camera sends them to your iPhone. As such, Capture One proposes that photographers can provide their clients with quickly edited images. You can plan ahead by creating styles in the Capture One desktop or iPad apps and AirDropping them to your iPhone.

Capture One allows photographers to share a direct link of the shoot with their colleagues, who can monitor the image in real-time, whether they are remote or on-site. The company suggests this will allow partners to quickly select their favorite images and provide feedback from any device, wherever they are.

Other features of the application include RAW conversion and color processing. You can transfer images via the cloud to Capture One Pro and finish editing on your desktop. Capture One says that ratings, color tags, and edits remain unchanged when you transfer images. You can export photos from the app however you like, the company said, including to an external SSD.

Capture One, an increasingly popular Lightroom alternative, is now available on the App Store. Subscription costs $5 per month after a seven-day trial, but users with the iPad app or the All in One package can use Capture One on iPhone at no additional cost.
