React to DMs with Audio, Photos and More – Instagram’s Got You Covered!

Meta-owned photo and video sharing platform Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow users to react and reply to notes in DMs using audio, photos, videos, gifs and stickers.

“We’ve been testing new ways to react and respond to notes in DMs using audio, photos, videos, gifs, and stickers. We hope this gives people new and fun ways to connect and interact in notes,” Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri wrote to Broadcast Channel.

The new feature is still in the testing phase, so it is not clear when it will be rolled out to all users. However, it can make DM conversations on Instagram more interesting and expressive.

Meanwhile, Instagram has also rolled out a new feature that allows users to add song lyrics to their reels. This feature was previously available for Instagram Stories. “New feature alert. We’re introducing a way to add song lyrics when you edit your reels, just like you can in Stories,” Instagram CEO Adam Mossari said on his channel.

“We’ve seen people add lyrics to reels manually, so I hope this makes it easier to use music to express yourself. Stay tuned as we work on new updates to bring some creativity to the reels.” he added.

You can easily incorporate song lyrics into your Instagram feeds by following these simple steps

– Tap the music button,

– Select a song

– New, swipe left to add lyrics to the selected song.

– Kelallasi is ready with lyrics.

The ability to add song lyrics has been a feature of Instagram Stories for quite some time. It’s unclear why it took Instagram so long to expand this feature to reels.

Recently, the Meta-owend app also introduced user-friendly tools for creating reels. These tools include improved templates and a template browser categorized into Featured, Trending, and Saved sections, making it easy for users to find the right template for their content.
