Robbing Banks with No Fear in ‘Payday 3’ on September 21st
During the Xbox Games Showcase at Summer Game Fest on Sunday, fans were treated to a sneak peek of gameplay from the latest installment of the Payday game series. Although Starbreeze Studios has taken over from Overkill, it appears that Payday 3 will continue to offer the same intense and fast-paced first-person shooting experience that fans have grown accustomed to.
In Sunday’s showcase, a familiar-looking quartet of gunmen set out to take over and rob a neighborhood bank using aggressive intimidation tactics, a variety of high-tech gadgets and a lot of downward fire. Game mechanics such as hostage taking (which previously allowed bandits to trade captured civilians after taking too much damage and being “detained”) seem to still be a very important part of the new game. Payday 3 arrives on September 21st for Xbox X|S (and presumably other platforms as well).
