After launching iOS 17.2 for iPhone users, Apple has now released a quick follow-up update that squashes bugs, and improves system stability.News

Supported iPhones receive bug fixes with the release of iOS 17.2.1 by Apple.

After releasing iOS 17.2 to the public earlier this month, which brought features like the Journal app and the ability to shoot Spatial Videos, the iPhone maker has now released a minor update in the form of iOS 17.2.1.

In the update log, Apple says that this update “provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users.” Therefore, this means that this update will not focus on adding features, but will include important bug fixes.

As expected, this update applies to all iPhones that support iOS 17, which includes all models from the iPhone XS and up.

How to install on a supported iPhone?

First, you must have a supported iPhone. If you already have iOS 17, that means you can get this too. Next, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Here, tap on Download and Install. But before you start, make sure you have a solid connection and more than 50-60% battery to make the update process go smoothly.

iOS 17.2.1: What’s New?

Although this update doesn’t bring any major features, it should still be installed because it brings bug fixes that may or may not bother you. Moreover, this can also make your iOS experience more stable.

However, iOS 17.2 already introduced many of the features originally promised with the iOS 17 update, including a Journal app designed to make it easier to document your daily life on the go. While it’s not revolutionary, what it does better than most diary apps is that it directly displays “moments” from your iPhone’s data, which include photos, locations, and even workouts. This makes it easy to add these events to your diary.

On top of that, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max now even let you shoot Spatial Video, which is basically 3D video that you capture from your iPhone’s wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses simultaneously and play back in Apple Vision. The Pro headset will be released next year.
