Vimeo’s Anjali Sud Appointed CEO of Fox’s Tubi Streaming Service

Anjali Sud, the former long-serving head of Vimeo, has been appointed as the chief executive of Tubi, the streaming service owned by Fox Corp, the company announced on Monday.

Sud recently resigned as CEO of Vimeo after about nine years at the streaming platform. He will report to Tubi Media Group CEO Paul Cheesbrough.

Before Vimeo, Sud worked in finance, media and e-commerce positions at Time Warner and Amazon.com.

Sud, who will take over on September 1, succeeds Farhad Massoud, Tubi’s founder and CEO.

Fox shares were slightly higher on Monday after reversing course from the previous day.

In an April restructuring, Fox created Tubi Media Group, which includes the streaming service along with Fox’s news, sports and entertainment digital platforms.

At the time, Fox announced Massoud’s plan to resign and the appointment of Cheesbrough to lead the newly created unit.

Fox had bought Tubi for $440 million in 2020.
