Vivo Launches Y17s Smartphone in India With 50MP Main Camera: Price and Specifications

Vivo Y17s: Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Monday launched a new affordable Y-series mobile phone in India. The recently launched Vivo Y17s features a 6.56-inch HD+ waterdrop display, MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor, a 50MP main camera and a 5000mAh battery with 15W FlashCharge.

Vivo Y17s price, color options and availability

The Vivo Y17s is available in two storage options – the 4GB + 64GB model is priced at Rs 11,499 and the 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs 12,499. It is now on sale from today and can be purchased from Flipkart, Amazon and vivo India online store. The color options of the new Vivo smartphone are Glitter Purple and Forest Green.

Vivo Y17s specifications

Vivo Y17s has dual mirror design and 2.5D flat body. The smartphone has a 6.56-inch HD+ water drop display with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

The device also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the side, which improves security and makes unlocking easier. The Vivo Y17s is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor and offers an additional 4GB of RAM via the Extended RAM 3.0 feature.

Vivo Y17s runs on the FunTouch OS 13 operating system, which is based on the Android 13 platform. The handset is packed with a large 5000mAh battery coupled with 15W FlashCharge.

The cameras feature a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel bokeh camera. For video calls and selfies, the Vivo Y17s has an 8-megapixel front camera with Aura Screen Light feature.

The device has several camera modes like Super Night Mode, Stylish Night filters and Bokeh Flare Portrait feature.

“In line with the government’s Make in India vision, all these devices are manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida plant, which employs approximately 10,000 men and women, ensuring that all vivo devices sold in India are made by other Indians,” the company said in a statement.
