Anker Introduces MagGo Collection with Qi2 Magnetic Charging Capabilities

Anker charging accessories are highly sought-after due to their impressive features and affordability. This also applies to their wireless MagGo lineup, which has recently been updated to incorporate the Wireless Power Consortium’s (WPC) latest Qi2 charging standard.

Anker’s new Qi2 MagGo series features seven products, including a 6,600mAh power bank that plugs into your phone, and a squeezable 3-in-1 quick-charge station for your AirPods, Apple Watch, and 15W Qi2 phone charging. There is also a new generation Anker 8-in-1 charging station with a pair of USB-A ports, another USB-C port, three plugs and a Qi2 phone charger.

Previously, Anker’s MagGo accessories were MagSafe compatible and not MagSafe certified, which meant they could only deliver 7.5 watts of magnetic wireless charging instead of the full 15 watts. Anker claims that its Qi2 MagGo range is one of the first to be marked as fully compliant by the Wireless Power Consortium’s (WPC) latest official Qi2 certification, based on Apple’s technology.

Anker says the efficiency of each accessory matches Apple’s 15W MagSafe technology and should work with all Apple MagSafe iPhone products. However, it’s possible—though not confirmed—that Apple’s iPhone 15 offerings will have Qi2 support, eliminating the need for MagSafe certification.

Anker’s new MagGo products are slated to arrive in the fall, possibly around the same time Qi2-compatible phones start hitting the market.
