Exclusive Availability of GrokAI From X in India for Select Users
Elon Musk’s X platform recently launched the Grok AI chatbot for users in the US, and now those of you who have paid for the X Premium plan in India can also experience the AI chatbot from your X account.
Additionally, Grok is available in over 40 countries as of Thursday, making it a wide release for all X Premium+ users. Grok is based on the Grok-1 LLM developed by X.AI over the past four months. Grok has several differences compared to popular chatbots such as Google Bard and ChatGPT.
Musk previously mentioned that Premium+ users will have a better chance of accessing Grok from day one than newer Premium+ subscribers on Platform X. X Premium+ users can find Grok in the side menu of X on Windows, Android, and iOS, as long as they are up to date. Those using X on mobile can bring Grok to the sub-menu for easy access.
Musk has touted the Grok AI chatbot as a better alternative to ChatGPT and Google’s Bard AI because it can provide answers to “spicy questions” that Musk claims other popular chatbots refrain from answering. Grok can also go through X (Twitter) and use real-time information from the platform to respond accordingly.
He confirmed that to use Grok AI, you need an X Premium+ subscription, which is the highest subscription X offers beyond the basic X Premium plan. The X Premium+ plan in India costs Rs 1,300 per month, which also includes features such as an edit button, a verified account with a blue tick, the ability to upload high-resolution videos and long messages in your feed.
Elon Musk has previous experience in AI from his partnership with OpenAI, and plans to build a robust AI model and chatbot that not only helps X users, but does so by following instructions.
