Find Out How Channel Owners Can Add New Admins on WhatsApp

WhatsApp, the instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow channel owners to add new administrators. WhatsApp Channels is a one-way broadcasting tool that provides a private way to receive updates from individuals and organizations within the app.

“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.7 update available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp plans to introduce a feature that will allow channel owners to add new admins to their channels,” WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, there is a new option on the channel info screen that allows the channel owner to invite admins to the channel.

“Although this feature is still under development, it already promises to be one of the best channel management tools out there as it enhances them even further by allowing the owner to choose trusted people to help manage and share content,” WABetaInfo said.

The report also claims that the list of channel administrators is always private. As a result, it will not be visible to the followers of the channel. It also suggested that if channel owners are allowed to add new admins, they will get better management and control features. This advantage becomes particularly significant as the size or activity of the channel increases.

New admins can help increase content by making the channel more active and effective and ensuring that content is always updated regularly.

“Furthermore, since WhatsApp channels are also a means of delivering news updates and communicating with readers, the use of multiple administrators can be important for the rapid release of new news, as multiple reporters and editors can participate in real-time and at the same time,” the report said.

A feature that allows channel owners to add new admins is under development and will be available in a future update of the app.
