Google Lens has helped people search for products or item on the internet and now you have a search history for these itemsNews

Users can now save their visual search history with Google Lens.

Google Lens is getting new features and options that can be useful to users. Lens generally assists users with various features such as completing homework, identifying landmarks, and visualizing STEM models. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, it helps turn phones into smart visual aids.

Simply put, it’s like a magic lens that works on a simple principle; you point your camera at something, and Google Lens tells you what it is. In the latest development in the technology, Google is now said to be rolling out a new feature that will allow users to save their visual search history using Lens.

When the Google Lens trigger was used in the past, it did not take pictures for users to save for future use. Instead, it sent the images to Google for analysis, making them inaccessible to users. However, Google is now expected to introduce a feature that will allow Lens captures to be automatically saved, allowing users to review the images again in the future.

The update specifically concerns the use of Lens in the Google application. Images from the Google Photos integration or the Circle to Search application will not appear in this case.

Using visual search history in Google Lens

Using Google Lens search history is optional and is disabled by default. Below are the steps to enable this feature:

– Visit myactivity.google.com

– Sign in with your Google account

– Go to the Data and privacy section and select Network and app activity

– Click the Include Visual Search History checkbox to enable the feature

Once enabled, you can scroll down on the My Transactions page of the website to see your visual search history. The page displays all search results, including those made with Google Lens. In addition to this, users can check the details of the request, delete the history or upload the captured image to the device.

While Visual Search History is said to have been rolled out to select users, it’s expected to be publicly available in the coming weeks, with users properly notified of the change when they open Google Lens. “Your visual search history can be used to improve your user experience in Google services, such as enabling you to redo your previous visual searches. It can be used to develop and improve Google’s visual recognition and search technology and the Google services that use them,” Google states on its website.
