WhatsApp, one of the most popular instant messaging apps around the world, has launched an important new feature on its platform. The Meta-owned messaging app widely publishes voice status updates for everyone.

“We announced that WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to send voice notes as status updates. This feature makes it possible to reach a specific audience defined in privacy settings by sharing a voice note instead,” WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, the company has released the WhatsApp for iOS 23.5.75 update on the App Store. The update fixes an issue that prevented status updates from loading when the app was closed, but also allows more users to share voice notes via status updates.

How to download voice memo as WhatsApp status

– It is now possible to record a voice note and share it via Status.

– Just go to Status tab > tap pen icon and hold microphone icon to record.

– Voice notes shared as status updates cannot be longer than 30 seconds,

– You can forward your own voice notes and conversations to the space.
