Enhance Your Chatting Experience with WhatsApp’s Upcoming Text Formatting Feature

WhatsApp regularly introduces new features and updates to its messaging app, effectively retaining and attracting users due to its large user base. The app’s diverse functionality has received significant positive feedback over time. In a recent development, WhatsApp launched a beta version of AI stickers, enabling users to create their own stickers. Currently, the app is working on a text formatting tool that will enable users to highlight code snippets, quote text, or create lists. This feature is certainly intriguing, and you can explore it here.

WhatsApp’s new text formatting tool

According to a WABetaInfo report, WhatsApp is likely to introduce other text formatting tools. So far we only have limited, bold, strikethrough and one-sided formatting. In future updates, we can expect more tools to improve our overall texting experience.

According to reports, there are a total of three formatting tools in use that allow users to format their messages according to their own preferences. The three tools are Code Block, Quote and a feature that allows users to create a text list.

The Code Block tool can be a useful tool for professionals working in technical fields. It allows them to communicate about coding and programming via Whatsapp. Now sharing codes is easier thanks to a new feature. Technicians don’t have to wade through strange screens of coding languages that are currently being shared on the messaging platform. This new tool aims to improve technical discussions according to various reports.

The “Quote” feature allows users to mark a specific part of the text. Currently we simply quote the entire text when replying, but this feature allows us to be more specific in the texts. This feature is useful for WhatsApp groups that have extensive discussions about the app. When the feature is available to users, they can highlight specific text and respond to it, making a big leap in communication.

List features allow users to create a list, just like we use note-taking apps to list grocery items.

Note that the feature is under development and will soon be available for both Android and iOS users once it is tested.
