WhatsApp to Introduce Meta Quest Support on Android Beta

According to reports, the messaging platform WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is currently developing Meta Quest compatibility for Android beta as a linked device.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature makes it possible to link an existing WhatsApp account to the Meta Quest device.

Due to the app’s apparent lack of official availability, some users have already tried to force install WhatsApp on a virtual reality device.

However, with the new feature, it is possible to connect an existing WhatsApp account natively to the Meta Quest device.

The ability to link an existing WhatsApp account to Meta Quest is currently under development and is expected to roll out to beta testers in a future update to the app, according to the report.

It was recently reported that the messaging platform was rolling out a new video messaging feature to some iOS and Android beta testers.

Meanwhile, earlier this month Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the next-generation virtual and mixed reality headset Quest 3, which will be released later this year.
