Meta Verified Launches in India – What You Get for Rs. 699

Meta Platforms is extending its trial of Meta Verified to India following initial trials in various countries worldwide. This forms part of Meta’s continuous endeavors to assist creators in establishing a presence, enabling them to concentrate on developing their communities on Facebook and Instagram. The Meta Verified initiative was launched with the aim of helping emerging creators expand their presence more rapidly on Meta’s applications.

What is Meta Verified?.

This is a new subscription package that includes account verification with an authority ID, impersonation protection and account support. However, no changes will be made to previously verified accounts. It is a paid subscription package for Instagram and Facebook, which includes a verified ID that authenticates the user’s account with an authority ID, proactive account protection and access to account support.

This means that Meta strives to ensure that user identities and accounts are secure and that the people they interact with are who they say they are.

What does Meta Verified bring to subscribers?.

· A verified token to confirm that you are the real you and that your account has been authenticated with an official ID.

· Better protection against impersonation with proactive account monitoring for impersonators who may be targeting people with a growing online audience.

· Help with general account problems if needed. Currently, support is only available in English, but will be extended to Hindi.

Meta Verified is available for purchase directly from Instagram or Facebook in India starting today. Meta Verified price for monthly subscription is Rs. 699 on iOS and Android. Online purchase option will also be introduced at Rs. 599 per month.

What happens to holders of existing verified tokens?

The previously confirmed mark will not change. These are all accounts that were verified before Meta Verified was implemented.

Note, however, that these accounts pass a series of criteria to ensure their genuine presence and may be more susceptible to impersonation than regular users.

How to apply for Meta Verified?.

The Meta Verified system has a built-in set of checks before, during and after the application.

· To be eligible, accounts must meet minimum operational requirements, such as prior posting history, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

· Applicants must then submit an official ID that matches the Facebook or Instagram account profile name and photo of the Applicant.

· Meta Verified subscriptions include proactive monitoring for account impersonation.

What else does he process require?.

1. Some subscribers may be required to submit a selfie video as part of the verification process.

2. The rollout starts today and will be available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria over the next few weeks.

3. Companies cannot currently apply for the Meta Verified service.

4. Those interested in online shopping can sign up for the waiting list via the Facebook online account center to receive information when online shopping is available.
