WhatsApp Introduces Message Reaction Filtering for Channels

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a message reaction filtering feature for channels, making it easier for channel administrators to see which of their contacts have reacted to channel updates.

“Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.3 update available on the Google Play Store, we noticed that WhatsApp is introducing a message reaction filtering feature for channels,” WABetaInfo reported.

According to the report, a new filter is available to some beta testers when viewing the reaction list for channel updates. This filter allows channel admins to view the individual reactions of their contacts, providing them with a new feature to gain valuable insight into how their contacts receive and react to the content they share on their channels.

According to the report, this feature will lead to more interaction and feedback from your contacts when you share a new channel update, as channel admins will now better understand which updates are catching the attention of contacts.

“We believe this data can also help channel administrators identify content that effectively connects with their audience and contacts, allowing them to optimize their channel strategy to refine future updates and engagement,” WABetaInfo said.

The channel message reaction filtering feature is available to some beta testers who install the latest WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and will roll out to more people in the coming days.

WhatsApp has also released a redesigned interface with new colors and icons. However, it is currently available to a limited number of users.

With the modified user interface, the instant messaging application owned by Meta aims to make the user experience more modern and visually attractive, as the application had not received user interface updates for a long time.
